Creating understandable and engaging content for a website
There are many things to consider when creating an effective website, but two things we put special emphasis on are user experience, which you can read more about by clicking here, and understandable and appealing content, which we will tell you more about in this article.
The most popular website type is a sales or informational website, the purpose of which is to do just that - inform the user about the company or sell a service or product to a potential customer. Often there is a desire to tell every little detail so that the customer can present all the necessary information and the problem that is solved by the particular product or service, but this is often not the best approach.
When creating content for the homepage, it is necessary to keep in mind that the user should only convey the most important information and the main selling points, otherwise, the very detailed and long information may not be read by the user at all.
The question may arise, why the user may not read the information?
Maybe you immediately want to think that my service or product is so useful or interesting, and maybe it is true, but in any case, getting attention nowadays is more difficult than ever and the time in which to get this attention is shorter than ever, so it is necessary to present information briefly and in a well thought out way.
To create content that resonates with the user, you need to look at it from the prospect's perspective. It's a good idea to avoid industry-specific jargon, as the user may not understand it and therefore not see value in the content. Instead, it is necessary to express yourself in simple and understandable sentences that can appeal to the client and point to the solution of an actual problem.
Content layout
Content layout is also important and aims to create context for the user as they move down the page. Therefore, there is often a banner at the beginning with a title and a link to a short description of services and only then reviews or completed jobs, and not the other way around.
It should be noted that these principles may differ for each industry. What is listed in this article is what can be kept in mind as a base for creating good content.
